Father and Son Portrait Session

I keep telling parents how important it is to have good photographs with their children. After all it’s part of the family history that will be treasured by many generations. It’s not easy to get a good family portrait, as it’s often one of the parents who is taking the photo, hence that parent is not ON the photo…Well, it becomes even harder for single parents… When they are out and about there is nobody to take that photo for them. That’s why it’s even more important to capture the bond between the child(ren) and the parent who raises them, as that one parent becomes their entire world.

Recently I had a great Father and Son photo-session with lovely Craig and Chis… Chris’s mother sadly passed away last year, and Craig is raising his son completely on his own, doing an incredible job juggling his demanding job and home life, providing for his son and creating the best possible life for him.

We’ve done a good mixture of shots, from formally posed one, to action and fun ones. Here are some of my favourites.
